Philip Grindell MSc
Chosen by senior Metropolitan Police commanders to build and manage a specialist security team following the murder of Jo Cox, Philip has been one of the UK’s most trusted leaders and advisors when it comes to fixated persons and national security issues. Before being called in to serve in Parliament, Philip served as a Scotland Yard Detective for the Metropolitan Police for almost 30 years in specialist roles, including time spent seconded to British Intelligence on Counter-Terrorist investigations.
Philip was also employed as a Counter-Terrorism Security Coordinator to ensure that high profile events, including Royal and Government events, were safe from terrorist attacks with detailed contingency plans. His multi-faceted background also includes threat intelligence, risk management, protective security, and expertise in analysing and predicting the behaviour of stalkers.
Philip isn’t just a highly sought after subject matter expert in his field — he fully understands the challenges of those who live in the public spotlight and can handle the situations they face quickly, discreetly, and professionally. His ability to quickly spot patterns and trends and identify potential vulnerabilities give Defuse’s clients the peace of mind and reassurance they’re looking for, not just while a threat is being investigated, but after the problem has been solved — specifically at home, online, and out in public life.
